EU PGI name protection sought for Salpausselkä Groundwater
In the Lahti region, around 100,000 cubic metres of new groundwater is formed every day. Achieving PGI protection would increase marketing value and help attract food industry companies to the area. The application was submitted to the Finnish Food Authority at the end of last year.
