Iitti
Iitti is a municipality of 6,700 residents that has in recent years become well-known as the home of the motor racing circuit and event arena KymiRing as well as the Kimola Canal, which opened in 2020. The municipality is also well-known for its beautiful nature sites, such as the ruggedly beautiful Hiidenvuori Hill, located on the island of Hiidensaari in Lake Pyhäjärvi.
Iitti has an active business scene and is home to Halton Oy, which has grown rapidly and expanded to international trade. Halton is the largest employer in Iitti. Other businesses of interest in the area include the paper industry company SharpCell, the trailer manufacturer Kaupe, and the lumber wholesaler Finprofile.
