RELOCATE TO PIPPO-KUJALA
Pippo-Kujala is part of Finland’s new logistics zone in the immediate vicinity of the Lahti Southern Ring Road and the Lahti–Helsinki highway. Its central location offers excellent opportunities for manufacturing industry that requires freight transport as well as other businesses. The area has excellent transport connections to everywhere in Finland and smooth international transport connections. The Lahti city centre is approximately three kilometres away.
The Pippo-Kujala area is home to many notable food industry companies, such as Hartwall and Teerenpeli, and logistics operators, such as Posti, Alfaroc Logistics and DB Schenker. There is a notable cluster of circular economy businesses operating in the eastern part of the area, with key operators including Salpakierto, Kuusakoski and Stena, among others.
Viking Malt, the largest malt manufacturer in the Nordic countries, will build its new malthouse in Kujala. The value of this investment is EUR 90 million.

Lahti
Lahti is a city with a population of more than 120,000 and the centre of an economic area with more than 200,000 residents. Not only is Lahti situated in a top location, it is also renowned for its environmental expertise. Thanks to LUT University changing its official name to Lappeenranta-Lahti University of Technology in 2019, Lahti is also Finland’s youngest university city.
Lahti is well-known as a strong business city and international winter sports hub, in addition to being famous for the eskers of Salpausselkä, the waters in the region, and the high-level cultural activities and events it offers. The flagship of Lahti is Sibelius Hall near the Vesijärvi Harbour.
Lahti has the most diverse industrial structure among Finland’s major cities and is home to many internationally well-known business brands, such as the energy and environmental technology company Oilon; the home kitchen equipment manufacturer Stala; Insofa, which is best-known for its Asko couches; Peikko Group, which manufactures beams for the construction industry; and Uponor, which provides indoor climate and piping systems.
